Reg has lived in Westcliff, Essex, since the age of 18 months and was educated at Chalkwell and Belfairs schools.
He is married to Marian and has two daughters and three grandchildren. Reg is an active member of Westcliff Baptist Church.
Reg’s early career was within a shipping and a forwarding agent company in the City of London, before he took up the role of Company Secretary and Company Accountant for a local specialist tea, coffee, patisserie and restaurant group of companies.
Reg joined BAE Systems in 1977, taking early retirement in April 2003 from the position of Head of Commercial. He is very experienced in business management skills, budgeting and financial control, staffing matters and charity work.
Reg has been involved with the Hospice from its inception and was a Trustee for over 20 years (including Chairman of Trustees for three years), before stepping down under the Charity’s rotation procedure.
In the past Reg has held the post of Honorary Treasurer and he is currently a Director of the Charity’s Trading Company. Reg has fully supported Havens Christian Hospice from the very beginning and is totally committed to supporting it now and in the future.
